You know, since I’ve come back to work after stepping away from AT&T, I’ve started to see things in a whole new light. The way management runs things these days is just ridiculous. Over the years, I’ve moved all around the country, ending up here in Texas, and it’s been one heck of a journey. Honestly, I’ve been thankful for the opportunities I had along the way, and I’m grateful to have made it to retirement age.
But when I think back, especially to those L1 supervisors, it really shakes my head. A lot of them never even bothered to apply for the position. No, they just got the job handed to them because they were buddy-buddy with the CM. What kind of nonsense is that? And I’ve heard some of these supervisors even have criminal records. It’s just mind-boggling to me that a big company like that would let something like that slide.
I really feel for the folks still out there trying to make it to retirement while stuck dealing with supervisors who might not even be qualified, and some who may have even worse baggage. I pray for those folks—what they’re going through isn’t right.
