Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Lousy workplace

Too much overtime. I can’t remember when I left the office at 5. Too low compensation, and it’s obvious that WF will continue trying to push it down. As low as they can get away with. None of the extra time and low pay are investment. You will not be rewarded by noticeable raise or advancement opportunities. You’ll probably just be laid off.

I don’t ever have this problem because I refuse to do anything additional than my daily workload.
If I find my daily workload is too high, I push back and say I can’t handle more - especially if half my team doesn’t have nearly the same workload.
I have never been chastised for it.

You can always quit. No reason to live like that if you are that miserable.

OT is good for non-exempt (hourly for any JPMers viewing this board) employees. It keeps you from having to find a side job if you need the extra money. The only downside is burnout.

Too much overtime?!?!

That must mean you’re getting paid for your extra hours worked. I’d consider that a blessing. Those of us that are exempt work extra hours without getting paid for it. Cry me a f*cking river, OP!!

Yeah, if I got paid overtime I would have been retired years ago.

You mention overtime, I would assume you are non exempt and getting 1.5x then.

Exempt employees don't know the word overtime.
