RTO Exemption list

If you have the desired skills or kiss the right a, you too could get on the RTO exemption list. I found out half my group is not going to be required to meet their 5 day requirement. D-mba me should have come up with my own "obligation". Anyone else seeing this?

Confession time.
I have a ur----y dribble disorder (UDD) due to holding it in for ten years working as a Project Manager. The pressure and meetings were unbearable and now I am left with an embarrassing dribble disability. I don’t think I can sue but I know I can’t be in the office without dribbling. I have started to wear an adult diaper but I am self conscious about it while in the office and my confidence in person is waning. Is there someone from HR that can offer advice without being a company bit$h and turning me instead of looking out for the employees best interest for a change? Otherwise I’m just going to keep dribbling on a new office chair every day.

ACS gave no one an exception to anything. Move to one of 2 hubs only or leave.

If other orgs are able to grant exceptions, that’s great. Others don’t have the luxury of the choice. Perhaps ACS moved too swift on the decision.

Exception worked for me until it didn't.

Appeals to leadership and strong reviews (including a Connection Award while I was packing up to leave) didn't matter.

I was remote, --unproductive and shopping at Costco-- getting results but not sitting in Dallas. Did not matter.

CEO of Citibank and McKinsey got the CEOs ear and suddenly "just get the work done" became "you can work here and only here" or "if I can't see you across the room, you can't possibly be working."

Sc--w that. I took the package (i.e. it was an involuntary termination, not "choosing a different path") and am happily retired. Sorry to see the company I gave three decades to go this way, but these days that's a lesser worry.

At the end of the day, HR policy is the only thing that counts. If HR doesn't know about the "unofficial" exemption list, then there is only the HR policy which is the only official document. Perhaps, it's better to stay off the unofficial exemption list if you really want to keep your job.

It's like a game of chicken. I know a couple AVPs that threatened to retire when directed to move to Dallas and the company backed off. For how long? Who knows.
