Started my own handyman business in August 2023. Resigned January 2024 after 21 years in IT. Wish I could’ve gotten my severance but couldn’t be happier. Business is booming.
Rehab... not finding anything in about a year from WF has taken its toll.
Contract big pharma
Started nursing school already, waiting for my layoff notice.
Truist - they doubled my base salary and bonuses are quadrupled compared to WF. They also don’t tell me daily that I am replaceable and that work should be the only thing that matters.
Stock market - self employed
If you are an engineer and/or in IT please look at this guy's , SH, experience: from JPM to WF to Truist.

Customer Experience | IT Strategy | Architecture | Artificial Intelligence | Open Banking
Note the last experiences. Architecture = BIAN eV (an architecture framework) SH was a board member
and then look at his up-skilling

Was SH "quietly quitting" WF while upskilling at Warton and getting AI certified? Just as he left WF, he got certified at MIT in Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy.
Looking at SH's career path, experiences, learning, and certifications, there is much to contemplate here. Did he get tired of working with and supporting bullies?
Menards - semi retirement
McDonald’s
Pacificorp and they’re paying me 26% more than what I was getting with Wells. Same role.
Starting my own business, nothing to do with banking.
Nothing offshore for NFCU, however, very few roles that are remote. Seem to be slowly opening a few. I have to drive up to northern Va. once a quarter, no big deal. Culture is great and not too many issues. Took a small cut but 30 days PTO.
A regional bank in my area. Very Happy. Everyone is upbeat . The stress level is nonexistent.
Were your jobs in technology like software development or ba/qa, analytics etc? . Fifth third and navy are relatively smaller regional banks, wonder of they have offshore team, hope not.
Fifth Third. A great organization!
Navy Federal CU, good salary and remote!
this is a great question - useful for folks to know.
