Go work for Lockheed or NG where they actually care about their employees. I made the best decision to leave L3 and work for NG. L3 is the worst company to work for.
Read between the lines . Florida.
It's all about working in Florida. L3HARRIS employees in other parts of the country can not afford to live on a Florida salary unless they live in Florida! The survey is misleading and a bogus representation of the true L3HARRIS employee experience.. and part of the company's continuing effort to consolidate work to the Sunshine State.
The company received a 5 out of 5 rating for "quality of pay" and "stability," but this rating is completely false. In reality, the company lacks stability and offers pay rates that are below market standards. This portrayal is an outright lie!
Why don't these articles ever include employee opinion survey results? Well, the same reason those results were not released to the employees until they were seriously edited. When an article like that spontaneously appears only months after laying off over 2,000 people, it's a fake PR job. But then again, why does ANYONE still take the news media seriously? Obviously the news media has NO credibility ( as demonstrated by the last election results), and neither does L3harris. But, if you want nothing but good news, que up for another cup of L3Harris Kool-Aid.
That survey used company supplied metrics and did not survey employee experiences.
my conclusion is that it is better than working in hospitality and that isn't saying much
From FloridaToday: Brevard County is home to one of the country best companies to work for, according to a new study.
U.S. News & World Report ranks the companies by factors such as quality of pay, benefits and professional development. According to them L3Harris, which is one of Brevard’s largest employers, is among the best places to work.
"’Best’ is a subjective term relative to career satisfaction, and there are many aspects that factor into someone’s decision to apply for a job with any given company,” the report stated. “But there are some universally desired factors that can contribute to a good workplace, such as quality pay, good work/life balance, and opportunities for professional development and advancement. Characteristics like these, which reflect what employees look for in companies today, were used in evaluating employers for the Best Companies to Work For list.”
L3Harris received a 5 out of 5 for “quality of pay” and “stability.”
Headquartered in Melbourne, the company received a ranking of 3/5 in “work life balance,” “comfort,” “belonginess” and “professional development.”
