Thread regarding Ford layoffs

I'm hearing sales in December imploded

And that the 4th quarter is a disaster.

Brace for impact.

@1siu+1vYQainf I'm sorry to say this, because of all the pain that comes with it, but the path from inflation to normal economy goes through recession first.

“The number of job openings in the United States has been “falling off a cliff”, and that is a major red flag.”

“When the number of job openings in the U.S. drops by 2 million or more, that normally signals that we are either in a recession or that one is about to happen.” Well… the number of job openings dropped by 4 million.

Rough waters ahead for most everyone.

GM prices are much lower than Ford even with Ford discount. Ford has to recover blown EV investment somehow.

Investor Peter Schiff Peter says “This Economy Is On Borrowed Time"

Schiff’s outlook on the markets remains grim. “The market is already very expensive,” he observed, highlighting that “the optimism factored in is misplaced.” He warned of an impending reckoning, exacerbated by years of deficit spending and inflationary policies: “We have a $36.2 trillion debt that’ll soon reach $40 trillion. This is unsustainable.”

So how will fare if the economy is headed for the swirly porcelain bowl?

Let's see...Ford keeps sending it's white collar jobs to LCCs so there's fewer US sales. Interesting we are not selling vehicles like hot cakes in the markets we are sending jobs to off set losses. Our vehicles are low quality, recall ridden, over priced products....so who in their right mind is going to lay down a stack of cash for that. Nope, great leadership and strategy BF and JF.

Brace for impact the big one is coming in January. Ford never should have cancelled the Ford Fusion and Taurus. We need good reliable C and D size ICE engine passenger cars. $2 gas ⛽️ is here to stay 2025 thru 2029 with the next president. Drill baby drill !!!

No deals, no real holiday cash, Ford taking percentage of dealer's take. We're being priced out of buying cars. As a Ford employee, I'm about to look at other cheaper companies.
