Who has no work tech in north have tons of work we are so swamped with maint and installs must be the rural no man land places

I hear there there is going to possibly be one in the new year told by a high ranking union official.
Everyone off of the payroll by Dec 31 will know no later than 11/14. Then, free sailing till 1Q25 results.

Can I transfer to the garage with "no work"? We're swamped every day and aren't allowed OT and work keeps backing up farther.
Would make perfect sense company panicked and over hired after Covid. There’s no work and monthly payments from the last offer just ended. Therefore probably not
