@tjnz
I prefer to have an rba with a return of 6% over a 401k contribution when ibm holds to it until the end of the year

Well, it won't be cr-p when the markets take a dive...

6% is cr-p when the typical rate of return for the S&P 500 is 10% per year.

@wnu

You sound like an unhappy IBM HR employee from India and you sound like an incompetent employee too from your post ....6% of nothing is still nothing, isn't it ?? Maybe you could apply for a job as Alvind's personal bottle washer when he comes to Benglaru next time ? or can AI do a better job as a bottle washer than you ?

the latest idea. if you did not elect last year for the disability insurance 401k payment option, this year cannot anymore. no more

Why do you care asking ?
The rate of return is supposed to be 6% for the first 3 years.
It is part of the salary package, if someone is unhappy, he/she can quit and ind another job that comes with a satisfactory salary package..
IBM suffers from the fact, the number of incompetent employees is very high to be sustainable.
