Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Q3 Results - We Su-k Again!

Another round of quarterly results are out and, like clockwork, we get another admonishing email from supreme vice chairman JLaw. After countless rounds of layoffs, forcing people to RTO, promoting a million TS’s, and cancelling tons of products, can we finally acknowledge senior leadership is the problem?

What else is needed before the executive beatdowns stop and they look in the mirror? 5 day RTO? A loyalty pledge? Maybe we could hold a seance and ask Henry Ford for advice?

The best Farley was right. Living in a van down by the river is a life ambition for so many today.

Working at Ford today is absolutely fn miserable. Out-of-touch super execs (like the lesser Farley and clown car of CXOs) with 20+ year veteran sycophantic middle managers and their handpicked grunt (“LL6”) direct reporting supervisors are running the place into the ground from plant and PD to IT and all in between.

You can literally see and hear the mistakes and bad decisions being made daily, but hey it all looks gravy on paper!! But without a manager badge, without fair proactive or transparent and honest leadership, and with endless tales of the current nightmarish job market…well, it seems like most people (hourly and salary) there just feel like they cannot speak up or it’s pointless.

They’re not wrong either because what Farley misses is that he has not fabricated healthy work ethic or built anything resembling a progressive company culture. His ideas (Ford+) that he would use to empowered improvement across the ranks has instead emboldened all ranks of leadership to work together to blame and scapegoat the rank-and-file while surrounding themselves with loyalists and paper tigers.

So (I have seen this more than once in last 2 years) if you choose to speak out, then your own leadership chain just gets to work with Ford HR directly, they put the whistleblowers in a corner (or red flagged, tagged, and bagged) so no one does it and those who do actually do it don’t stick around very long afterward.

Sadly, those lofty ivory throne id--ts though think that’s a win (“got rid of that problem finally!”) and seemingly can’t realize “no, you got rid of the helper and the solution…you guys are the problem!” Guess every man and woman that ever lived is hero to their own story though, even when they actually live like an unreformed Ebenezer Scrooge.

P.S. - and for the love of gawd, someone please tell the lesser Farley to stop trying to sell us on his Hollywood-wannabe persona, telling his employees to watch his TV stints and tune into his podcast. Self- promotion seems desperate sir and we all know there was only one entertaining Farley and you’re not him bub.

Ford does not have any good design engineers to produce good products that people want.

The newly redesigned vehicles still look the same as the ones from 5 years ago.

Who in he-l would want to buy something like that if they know a thing or two about cars.

"Model e: $1.2 billion in revenue"

So much for all the subscription revenue we were promised! 🤣

I love how some clowns act like they created something called ford pro. Funny how they take something called outfitters and spin it.. Create more management layers which is the last thing we need.. WS or Detroit Free Press why are you not calling out this comedy act for what it is??? Time to pull you money out of these banks that keep silent on this comedy. FP.. So much for news...

re: Gotta give it to JF; he somehow manages to keep a straight face while telling you and the Board that he lost another billion dollars (per quarter) while implementing the Ford + Plan (its been exactly one year, last week).

For $26,470,033, I could also keep a smile, while taking a huge DUCE - matching the financial performance legacy he's leaving behind.

If model e would have followed how pro deals with customers there would be more success. Not total success not not complete failure.

"Stop looking at the noise..." Hey FanBoy...if by "noise" you mean actual numbers, then pull your head out of the sand. Talk is cheap. Results matter.

Stop looking at the noise, the encouraging information provided in the release is the 630K in subscriptions, and that's just Ford Pro Services. Model e subscriptions (like BlueCruise) increases that even further. That's all digital/data revenue. Just wait when Gen2 Model e products are launched with even more features and applications that our customers will want and subscribe to.

Ford Blue: $26.2 billion in revenue, $1.627 billion in EBIT

Model e: $1.2 billion in revenue, -$1.224 billion in EBIT

Ford Pro: $15.7 billion in revenue, $1.814 billion in EBIT

Model e projected for $5 billion loss this year.

Time for Model e to go.

Gotta give it to JF; he somehow manages to keep a straight face while telling you and the Board that he lost another billion dollars (per quarter) while implementing the Ford + Plan (its been exactly one year, last week). Ford stock will lose a third of its value again, down .58 cents in just 28 mins after the bell!! They never admit failure and nobody calls them out on it, company culture is toxic to stay silent with our Captain grounding the ship.

Well, at least we are rid of money losing Canopy, the $.2 Billion Corporate loss displayed on Page 11 of the presentation, and Ford Next is buried in the business. Was anyone fired for all that lost money?
