Funny how at one town hall, they said we don’t want to be a bank of jerks. I present to you Jerk #1 - he acting like he hated being on stage, hated small talk, hated every question, hated his life, hated his job - oh but he loves his puppy!
Do we have customers in India? What time zones need to be covered that would make India beneficial to the point that need to hire all positions? Why India? There are many other countries that would be in different time zones that we could leverage. Countries that already have the infrastructure to meet any business continuity issues. Also, why wouldn’t we look for diverse countries if we are going to be fed this line of DEI. India employees will not be paying FICA so all retired people should start to panic. Social Security is really doomed if no one is paying into it.

When asked if he’s ever been hit by a location strategy- he had the longest pause known to mankind and then said basically - no.

Why has corporate risk, as our independent risk team, not raised the risk of offshore as well as too severe cuts to key employee knowledge segments throughout country? Clearly it’s evident in tech with all of the manifestations of this risk…
I'll make the execs a deal. I'll start calling I&P employees just "WF employees" when they stop firing people that live 45 miles away because they are not near a hub, and replacing them with people that live 8,000 miles away. THEY don't treat I&P the same, why the **** should I?

Management wonders why US resources are slower to produce but holds up India resources as the ideal.
Might be cheaper to hire over there but from what we've seen it sure doesn't mean higher quality or quicker speed to market. Why not hire some Australians? That would help his global talk and they could have kangaroos pulling a stagecoach.
Well, the team in India don’t consider themselves WF employees and they don’t want to be held to the same standards, so how come we treat them as one if they don’t feel or want that themselves. Also management seems to have a hard time controlling them and have been putting them on the pedestal.
@bom he said it was so the bank can be 24 hr operational, essentially. Said to stop calling them the India team, we are all part of the same bank, lots of ppl in different time zones.
His departure is long overdue.

There were actually some good questions for a change. DF is paid a lot to lie and he did that about India. Would have liked for him to go in more details on remotes being pushed to hubs or be terminated.
