Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Lack of accountability = lack of performance

Farley has been at Ford since 2009, and we’ve been losing market share ever since. The accountability? He gets promoted to CEO, and the losses continue.

Doug Field has been at Ford for four years, with zero accomplishments to date. Model e is losing $5 BILLION per year, with zero accountability.

Stern has been at Ford over a year, and while I give him credit for shutting down Farley’s money loser Ford Next, he isn’t on top of things enough to remove the Ford Next reference from his official bio. He shut down FLV’s ‘canopy security “ debacle, but at a point that it cost $200 million to do so.

When highly visible executives are not held accountable for their colossal failures, why would any other Ford employee expect to be? Until someone is fired, expect the failures to continue.

50% isn’t a big enough cut for Farley, only a 100% cut will do.

Nissan found a way to drive accountability: after cutting 9,000 jobs they cut the CEO pay in half. Ford needs to do this to Farley.

Thats the result of family and friends management structure. Their top ambitions are more money/ promotions, and bonus for them selfs. When you are part of the club you don’t need to worry about getting held accountable by friend or family members, they just sweep it under the rug for each other. I scratch your back you scratch mine. as long as they can blame the non family and friends and get away with it they are in the clear. Huge issue in my opinion. It will take some serious action to up root this deeply rooted problem and hopefully get the company on the right track.

I recall purchasing managers who made bad decisions and got tapped on the shoulder for a lot less… once these top dogs get canned I can hear the press release now… worked tirelessly for Ford. Multi-million golden parachute and a driver for life….while the worker bees & stock holders take it on the chin If it wasn’t for Shiela Hamp, the Ford faithful would have nothing to cheer about.

Allen Mullally is the only CEO that actually turn this company around to profitability.

Ever since Allen retired, no other Ford CEO can accomplish anything. These LL1 & LL2 are milking this company until Ford offer them millions of $ to leave the company.

The board of directors should be pounding senior management but instead senior management pounds the ranks to deliver better and faster.

Some good news is we are down to “only” 84 “executives” actively ignoring the debacle that Ford has become, down from over 90. That’s got to be saving tens of millions of previously wasted dollars.

Fewer would be a further improvement.

When are the Mavericks gonna be 0% for 60 months plus cash back ? Everything too expensive otherwise and not realistic, given the constant reliability issues. Give me some incentive to buy the Maverick, because at the end of the day it is still a Ford, not to mention faster depreciation.

Politicians say "wildfires have gotten worse". In reality, the wild fires are coming from the EVs the politicians are pushing. Ford has aligned itself with the nanny state so they are rewarded for loyalty and competence is unnecessary.

Stern should take the lead and fire the CEO of Canopy, who claimed the whole thing was all his idea (when it actually wasn’t). Show strong action when employees fail that expensively. In fact, send a press release to Phoebe when it’s done.

Where is the BoD in all of this? They should be pounding on table screaming for heads to roll. But no, they are no where to be found.

Funny how the workers are given poor PR ratings for following senior management direction! On top of that JF/BF/DF were all rewarded in the millions for such a poor performance.
The UAW/GSR/LL6 only do what they are told to do. they have no choice.
As long as the current management team in in place the company will shrink.. I do not know why WS or the Detroit Free Press do not say what everyone else can see.
