Good Retirement Award/Gift

Retiring soon. What did people choose for their retirement award/gift that they thought were good, high-quality items?

I took the under counter wine fridge. When it arrived it looked like the box fell off of the truck and one of the rails that a shelf slides out on was damaged. I reached out to the company that makes the cooler for an replacement rail and after 90 days they sent the wrong part. I reached out to the Prize folks several times and finally they reset the website so I could order a $900 JBL sound bar and subwoofer which I installed in the man cave with my 100" laser projector and love it. Told me to throw out the wine fridge. I reached out to the wine fridge folks again and another 4 months later they sent the correct rail and now I have 2 gifts after 43 Glorious years. P.S. Don't tell Stinkey he will want it back...........................

With 25 NCR, I selected the small diamond hoop earrings, and just love them! The earrings along with peace of mind from T work efforts has been priceless. I Thank God Every Day!

I got piece of mind.
I get value from relationships and experiences.
I am grateful I no longer have to look over my shoulder for the next AT&T cut or deal with RTO and other silly corporate missteps...

I took the gift of a 65" tv. Rolled my cash pension to an IRA rollover. Leaving my 401K in place for now. Deferred my severance until next year to lower tax and avoid IRMAA on Medicare. Also spent the full $500 (went over $40) for the retirement meal

“I took the full cash buyout, versus the monthly annuity on my pension! Re-invested as a short investor on T stock and living like the Stank now! In all seriousness: Congrats and Good luck to you going forward 🙂”

Imagine working here long enough to retire, seeing all the bs, then turning around and buying more T.
I hope you sold on this latest bump.

Could have bought NVDA and doubled or tripled your money.
Sad.

Also took full cash buyout, best decision ever. Always in control of the hard earned money after 41 years plus a good fiduciary company like Fisher! Best move ever

Retired last day of 2023 after 41 years. I chose the top of the line Charbroil gas Grill. What a way to retire BBQ'ing and drinking Malbec!!!!!
Get out now!

I got the Gasoline Electric Backup Generator. Haven’t used it and figured I’ll never lose power as long as it sits in its box. Catalog has some good stuff. Rolled the pension to Vanguard since AT&T is no longer insured or funded. Use your $500 retirement meal too, if out of footprint, you just take your family out for steaks and a scotch for yourself. If the boss uses it, they’ll try to make you get grub hub for the office. Cheers
