D9 9421 executives corruption caused by greed and lies. The only ones suffering are the brothers and sister that work hard for fair contract. Read local new articles of the investigation that is currently underway. They will unveil the truth and the people who are responsible for corruption. D9 9421 are FAKE puppets

In D9 (CA & NV) we just renewed our union contract and they added language that reduces buyout packages for Union employees. To me that means their planning lots of buyouts in the near future.

100 percent layoffs by end of 25. If we make this much money with the employees we have, imagine how much we will make with zero employees.

People, there aren't enough phone sales nowdays. That is why At&t and Verizon are stuck in high long term dept. These companies got to pay for all the towers and maintenance. Telco is done. Tmobile will never take the customers from At&t and Verizon. The At&t and Verizon customers don't like Tmobile due to poor network. This means all three telco will downsize and execs will get fired by the board of directors. Sorry but this is the sure future for telco.

BFS will probably be adding headcount to help cover the reduced workload.

Layoffs will depend heavily on the outcome of the presidential election.

There is a lot of Lev 1 bloat in my area. There are some managers that are good, some ok, and many that are no help getting things done and just sc--w things up to make things take longer. If we need something done, we just talk to their techs directly and involve thier managers as little as possible.
If they streamline processes, and make the systems more user friendly. They can definitely cut the oxygen thieves in manager titles.

No layoffs in D9. Force reallocation. 100 mile moves from splicer to prem tech

Or just bump the least senior splicer in your HQ.

@rgr+1vk7IJMB If they reduce 75% of L1 and L2 in 6 months they’d have to reduce L3 also due to span of control. If that is the case what on earth are we all doing everyday? Who is left to manage the network?

I guess they just outsource everything and see how the chips fall?

One last layoff, announced week after Thanksgiving.

Severance will be reduced beginning 2025.

Seems like things are only getting worse as we “change the culture “.

@ymn+1vk7IJMB, I heard the same, especially at the L2 and L1 levels. They have to do it in the first 2 quarters of the year. They are hoping that with the new 5-day / 8-hour,s employees will leave on their own and avoid having to pay out severance. Also, hearing that the severance program is under review as well.

75% reduction in headcount in 6 months?

If they’re actually d-mb enough to do that I sure am glad I got rid of all of my T stock.

  1. 75% Reduction is booked by EOY 2025 with a large portion of that in the first and second quarter. Idea is to not have the cost saving move so close to FY 2025 closeout
