Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Wouldn't it be great if they all left?

I hope the first surplus in 2025 focuses on the people who simply don't want to be here. The work environment was professional in years past. I think the majority are tired of the endless whining, complaining, and immaturity.

Hey, pick me, you won't save your job by this post. They don't care. Your time will come.

“And it’s usually the lowest performers.”

Data doesn’t support this view, multiple companies have done studies on this, including McKinsey, and found it’s the highest performers who leave first.

You can keep ignoring data if you want, but your naive assumptions are just wrong.

"He told our L5 this hasn't worked out the way it had modeled"

It's coming. Our L3 said he has 17 who just don't fit the mold, and he would gladly trade them for 5 with a strong work ethic. He told our L5 this hasn't worked out the way it had modeled. Was told to try to hold on until the end of January and his burden would become lighter. He thinks the delay may only be due to a pending change in severance. I hope, I hope, I hope.

I would be willing to give up 2 more vacation days if they would focus on getting rid of the riffraff. That would be an all around Win.

Nah all the stooges and trolls are field guys that hate you. They find our complaints as childish. They have to physically be in person to do what they do, so they don’t understand what our jobs entail and how we can do them virtually and still do them virtually and the same whether we are at home, on the beach, anywhere really, vs sitting in an office to just do the same thing. The company could save huge sums of money to go back to more FTW people where it makes sense.

It sounds like you are endlessly whining, complaining, and being immature yourself.

Stankey's Stooges are still being paid to post here.

He ain't wrong, though. I like my programs, but there's usually a person or two who constantly complains and poisons the whole barrel. They make everyone around them miserable.
