Wilmington to Philadelphia?

Anyone know about the BNY Philadelphia location, and if that might be where they force us to report to if/when the Wilmington site closes?

Rumors are starting to buzz here in Philly that we are closing this office when the lease is up in 2026.
Anyone hear anything?

@1GVC, thank you for clarifying. And not belittling me in the as others often do.

@1qzn+1vlYReq2 The other way around. I worked in both buildings. BNY completely renovated their floors in 1735 Market a couple years before the pandemic. They are beautiful now. And I know people who still work there. 7th/ 8th market they shipped us out and put on the market maybe in 2018. Not sure if it ever sold. Oh I think I heard 5 Below’s headquarters was moving in to the space but haven’t been down there in at least 7 years.

Philly is pretty crowded now. Treasury Services moved from Philly to Wilmington many years ago and that site (17th and Market) closed. The site at 7th and Market is primarily Wealth Management. We have two floors in a large building we don’t own.

WM can exist in Delaware without Wilmington. They have their own site in Greenville. That site would meet requirements.

There has to be staff in DE for Delaware trusts in WM. It’s a compliance rule.

I used to work in Philly and was moved to Wilm. Back then we either had to move or take the severance. I doubt they will move many from Wilm to Philly because of the high cost. I did hear one group moved from Wilm to Philly because of certain compliance rules. I guess they can’t do that work from Lake Mary. I’m assuming unless there’s regulation issues, you’ll have to pick Pitts or Lake Mary some time before the site closes in 2016 or take the severance.
