I should have kept my mouth shut and performed the job I was supposed to do. I was foolish to listen to all those clowns talking about quitting. It was mob hysteria, and I had to show I was man enough to walk. Nobody else did. Go figure. I don't work in tech any more. I finally realized after 15 months I couldn't be picky. 5 days in an office sounds like a dream compared to some of the places I find work now. Protect what you have until you have something better locked in.

If you left your job due to peer pressure then you are not worth the air you breath. You deserve to be unemployed.
You are just not as good as you think you are
"Hopefully, things will look better in 2025."
not likely. the economy generated 12K jobs last month and would have been negative if it wasn't for govt hiring.
I hear Swift is hiring
Got a gig a the local burger joint.
I started out mopping the floor just like you guys. But now... now I'm washing lettuce. Soon I'll be on fries; then the grill. In a year or two, I'll make assistant manager, and that's when the big bucks start rolling in.
The pay and benefits these other companies want to offer is joke. I have an interview for a job with no PTO, 12 month contract and only paid for hours worked. Hmmm…no thanks, I’ll stay where I’m at awhile longer. Hopefully, things will look better in 2025.
Ok John! lol! You loser!
Obviously a TROLL post. Lol, fake upvotes and all! Good one!
"Employers knew it was their market"
Pretty much the way they are today with offering near entry level benefits. "You have remarkable experience. Just what we're looking for, but you don't know our company. Here's what we can do for 3 years while you learn our.....".
Your skills were out of date.
Sounds like your skills are out of date.
Reminds me of dot com times. 13 months without a single in-person interview. Employers knew it was their market. 3 dozen "offers" to let me work for free so I wouldn't have a gap in my work history. Like sharks and blood in the water.
I walked. I started my own company with the nice severance check.
Now I take AT&T customers and make them customers of other carriers.
Little revenue losses at a time to AT&T but is stings to lose a customer nonetheless.
Not because I am bitter but I know AT&T's weaknesses, exploit them and make money putting other carriers solutions in place.
It's called capitalism. There are no jobs out there, especially after the last 4 years of communism in America but every customer is open to saving money and AT&T is very high priced.
It is what you make of it.
Welcome to Extra Space Storsge!
i mean no sh-t. i'll whine of course but i'll work 6 days if we have to
