I’m expected to work overtime, and sometimes on days off, just to meet quota. Quota mgmt came up with. Which is also impossible to meet in regular hours with all the people already gone from the team. All of this could be avoided if management were competent and showed basic consideration for employees. Yes, great, overtime is paid. But I still don’t want to do it. T would keep you under its thumb 24/7 if they could.

If it's impossible then why are you trying to meet it?
If you're working on days off, you are part of the problem. Let the project fail.
You sound like a very hard working person with a lot of character and good work ethic , i mean a real go getter, to bad you are not in charge and set a 2 hour work day. you will go far in your career my friend.

Everything lately that seems unrealistic, inefficient, and builds a toxic culture … ask yourself “does this make sense if the company’s goal is to get me to quit?”. The answer is likely yes.
Question is, how long does it take for enough people to quit. When it seems like it can’t get worse, it will find a way, until enough people are gone.
Doesn’t matter if revenues drop, customers leave, the network or security fails again and again. Sacrifices will be made in the get people to quit war clearly being waged.
This applies to most divisions across the company. Once you fully accept the why, you can more clearly see all the antics, and also see the silent rebellion of enlightened employees around you trying to do as little as they possibly to drag it all out. Mutually assured destruction.
