Laid off and laughing my a$$ off every day since.
Yes, I prepared, but nothing could have prepared me for the spontaneous smiling throughout the day when this big tu-d of a $hithole was behind me.
The actual d-mbing-down that occurs when you are amongst a sea of beta people is mind blowing. AT&T is like the government in so many ways: Three people to do the work of one. Five days to complete the work of one. The repeated nonsense that gets discussed over and over. You sit back wondering if all these people have some sort of parasite growing in their brains. oof, what an utter, complete mess. No idea what so ever how this place gets anything done with people that cannot for the life of them, get $hit done on their own.
Didn't prepare for a surplus but got surplused. Came with the severance.
1 week into it I was thanking God for being away from T. Life happened, I got opportunities and a year later I am in great shape financially + the emotional baggage I left was awesome.
