Noise Cancelling

It’s hilarious to me that we can’t get noise cancelling headphones without paying out of pocket. The background noise on these office calls is ridiculous. Can quite literally hear full conversations in the background. It’s like a call center.

Downside is folks with NC headphones talk the loudest around me as they can’t hear themselves.

I’ll never, never buy a piece of equipment for the office. Home office, absolutely. Work office? Never.
If you want our partners to think we’re herded together working in loud call center because you can’t treat us like adults with proper equipment, then that’s what we’ll show them.

I bought my own. It’s worth the money. Make sure they’re really big and obvious so no tries to chat with you throughout the day.

I love, love, love being in the office on meetings. I have a list of 50 snide comments at the ready when someone asks me to go on mute because the office is so loud.
Some will recognize me because I always say “can you repeat… I didn’t hear what you said”. Love this RTO fiasco. Insanity in living color.

Yeah, when we call *aid in retail and it goes over seas and “Peggy” answers the phone, it sounds like a New Year’s party for sure! Yelp, and you get no answers as well!

Yeah that’s what happens when you make everyone go back to an office and everything is still teams calls. What’s the point? Where’s the ROI?

Why are you on the phone? Isn’t the point of being in the office to meet in person? Ahahahaahhahaha

There are call center employees mixed in. They don’t have assigned desks either

The lady by me is always on the phone talking about confidential personnel information. Holy crud, the employee information she says out loud for all to hear is crazy. Though it is rather entertaining.

I had some old dude try to tell me to put a headset on for one of my calls.

He interrupted me while I was on my call.

Needless to say I completely ignored him and continued my business.

Who the he-l do Les he think he is? I can’t talk or listen to a call in the office? F that!

Just what we need: more people hollar talking into their noise canceling headphones. Since we are going to 5 days a week, roll back the workplace 2020 changes and put cubicles back in. Maybe put a time clock on the wall too.
