Location Strategy….. Edinburgh

Any news on Edinburgh in the location strategy?

Building being sold and potential buyers appear to be all hoteliers, so it won’t continue past 2026 as a BNY site.

Are they searching for new premises? Or just close the site? With people disappearing constantly might just need a few tables in a coffee shop. Moral is awful

There we go, today nearly all site staff are on notice of redundancy consultation. Still no mention of the building having been sold. A rank awful time to be employed by this hugely successful, global behemoth of a company, at least if you're Edinburgh or Wexford based.

The staff morale is terrible; everyone is doing the work of two people. Senior managers are non-existent, as is their communication. The way we have been treated for months is terrible.

Thanks - what do we know about cork and Wexford regarding where they fit in the classifications of locations?

All office locations fall into a few categories: Grow, Scale, Maintain and Wind down (loosely speaking, these aren’t official terms lol)

In the UK/Ireland, now that OCS has folded into QVS, London is at ‘Maintain’. The regional offices are where the key focus is; Dublin, Manchester, Liverpool.

Edinburgh is likely now at Maintain until the office building itself winds down in 2026, but given the legacy employees/functions still there, it’s unlikely they’ll ever fully close the office. They’ll probably just downsize to a core Scottish contingent

What’s the Edinburgh closure statement based on? Info from who/when? It has been reducing.

Did I not see on an earlier thread that Poole was the UK office rumoured to close not Edinburgh
