More than enough. I’ve changed teams and areas, and seen most of what’s to be seen. Most importantly, I’ve witnessed WF steadily degrade both its employees and clients. I once believed my whole career would be in banking. Now I decided not only to leave WF but to change the whole deal before it’s too late. I realized a while ago that I want to do something more meaningful and healthier while there’s still an opportunity. I worked towards it, and I finally found what I needed. It’s less money, but it definitely promises to be more satisfying. Good luck to you all guys, and always think about what’s best for you.

15 years? Wow - only 10 here. Does your an-s ever recover so that you can control bowel movements? I hope so.
Hey Wd8, I know how you feel when you say the downhill hit with the Wachovia merger and I bet you’re right. But as an old time Wachovian, the truth is First Union caused the issues. They bought us out because they ran their name into the ground, then proceeded to run the wachovia name down as well. They were the worst people I ever worked for in my 50 year career in IT.
F'in Eh!
The downhill started in tech after the Wachovia acquisition. Then all the scandals and finaly the id--t Scharf.
Good for you OP.
Haha, just kidding, I know it's you Shart! Nice try. Get that pen ready and start writing those severance checks!!!!!
I got 14 and seen most of the enterprise over the years. I’m too young to retire and too old to start over. I’m seriously considering the same thing. Cmon Feb!
I'm right behind you OP. I have 3 months left. New job lined up, just waiting for my 401k match and mid Feb bonus. I've been preparing since January 2023.
Left banking for insurance here.
I am not seasoned in the industry and found myself out of the loop many times.
Same outsourcing and probably worse, theirs are just starting to layoff and hire offshore.
What did you decide to change careers to?
Boy, I feel better now. I was worried there for a second.
