Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Who are the worst leaders in Verizon?

A really bad leader can negatively impact a team or organization through several key failings. Here are three significant traits that define poor leadership:

  1. Lack of Communication: Ineffective leaders fail to communicate clearly and consistently with their teams. This can lead to confusion, misaligned goals, and a lack of trust. Poor communication may include avoiding feedback, withholding important information, or being unclear about expectations.
  2. Inability to Inspire or Motivate: Leaders who lack the ability to inspire their teams often struggle to foster engagement and enthusiasm. When leaders show apathy, fail to recognize achievements, or neglect the personal and professional growth of their team members, it can result in low morale and diminished productivity.
  3. Micromanagement or Lack of Delegation: A bad leader often exhibits extreme control over tasks or avoids delegating responsibilities. This not only stifles innovation and independence among team members but also creates frustration and a lack of ownership. Conversely, leaders who are too hands-off and fail to provide guidance can leave teams feeling unsupported and directionless.

These behaviors undermine trust, collaboration, and overall success, making them hallmarks of ineffective leadership.

Most of the “leaders” from VZ Connect are inept. Especially those in GCS (Director or above). It’s no wonder that business is failing miserably.

Not much point in contributing to this so-called "layoff" site when they keep deleting posts that allude to 'certain' inept power hungry people in the upper rungs of management (hah! a joke in itself) of VValue

@1hvm+1vuDqN4r Holmes the website monitoring group delete it out cause can't name people apparently. Or Verizon contacts them too to delete it out. Can't let let that happen but no issue rif'ing individual contributors.

It has zero to do with fear but with the website rules that if you post names, it will get deleted.

They labeled themselves leaders to place you in subservience. Now that they're your masters, you call them that.
Subservience: the act of considering your wishes as less important than those of other people.

For chrissakes, stop addressing people as your "leaders", and try to cease belittling yourself by voluntarily placing yourself below another human, as if you are a mere subservient follower, a cur, to be chained and led on a leash.
