Thread regarding Crown Castle International Corp. layoffs

Low pay

Why is compensation for high performers at the bottom of the industry? Is this normal, or am I the only one being seriously underpaid?

M4 here, I have access to enough information and have enough experience to say that M2s aren't making 200 base. Maybe a few here and there but that's nowhere near the standard or average. 140 is great for an M2. M3 isn't too much higher at that point it's the bonus and RSUs where you get paid.

HA! There ain’t no M2 making 200k as base. Maybe with bonus and RSU that might get somewhat close.

I concur with the earlier post.
M2 is usually around $190-200k base.

LOLZ go be a contractor and see how much they pay. You are worth what you sell yourself to be. If you are holding down a market, make moves to where you want your pay to be.

Telecom is always underpaid. Crown is just the worst. “But look at your WHOLE compensation” which doesn’t mean much anymore. Why a lot of us left. Some of us found similar roles at better companies with pay raises and better benefits. There is life out of the purple prison.

You're probably underpaid but also it happened under the prior EMT around the pandemic. Salaries were always pretty competitive with benefits and bonuses above other companies.

However they didn't keep up with cost of living and other companies have. They've been hiring people at the same pay rate for years and not giving competitive raises.

Overworked, underpaid, and expected to take on more work after willingly with each person we lose. I'm interested to see how my next performance review goes - I've taken on 3x the job functions and there's been no adjustment to the "goals" we set for ourselves midyear. I guarantee they'll hold their bogus metrics over my head when calculating my raise and act like the additional work is nothing

Wait a little bit, they’ll lay us off so you won’t be in that underpaid category anymore.

Define underpaid and your position. In sales its normal to have a huge variance in base pay that could vary by as much as $60K based on experience success and what level of accounts you handle.

If you know you’re seriously under paid, why are you still here? Have you tried getting a raise?
