Thats not true. I choose to work at another company then through a series of acquisitions and mergers I am here. Wasn't my first choice and I have too much invested into it now. Not starting over.

While true life itself is never fair and some have a rougher path than others, it is especially heinous when the blows in life are driven by your fellow man.
Health, accidents, hurricanes, sudden deaths, overdoses, su----es, mental illness, crimes, etc. Yes, life is not fair. But walking into a job and being let go for the folly of a loser CEO and CTO, well that’s just plan evil incarnate.
Op - there’s some truth to your post but you need to realize that the post itself is a form of whining. So your whining is justified, true and just but others aren’t afforded the same view?
You may not like it but the contract negotiation comment further illustrates the point. These negotiations are basically another form of whining about current conditions.
