3 days has been doable. Is 5 days coming?

Exactly. JF: but everyone else is doing it so we should too.
Ford is not a tech company you mo--n.
Hoteling" office space is not what the people want.
But Google and Yahoo and all those other companies
5 days in office is absolutely coming. Our leaders are tired of missing opportunities to give us more work! They want to give us more work for the same pay!
And you know the city provides tax incentives to Ford. When we were 100% remote, the city pushed back. That's why we all have to go back to the office!
Let me sit with my team and supervisor. Otherwise, what is the point? "Hoteling" office space is not what the people want.
Give me my own desk and a place to keep my mug and we can talk about it.
Don't talk about 5 days or even look it in the eye. Maybe it will go away.
The gravy train is over.
Companies were closing offices and having information workers work remotely before COVID because they save a ton of money.
Now the fad is to cram everyone back into cubicles or open “collaboration centers” where information workers sit at their desks all day and wok on their computers.
The whole RTO thing is just to show solidarity with the greedy commercial real estate investors, landlords, governments (taxes) and banks. They need to “set an example” even if it bankrupts the company.
If working remotely isn’t working for a company, that’s because their management just doesn’t know how to do it.
many LL6 supvs are NOT coming even 3 days/week ... some of them come for an hour or two for badge swipe and then go home. LL5 and above are seen in the office but LL6s tend to avoid coming to office...
Its about time!
@oqt+1vy64Pm6 - sorry to read about your Visteon case. Would you be kind and give us a bit of history on what happened?
Maybe 5 days/week is coming later in 2025 but we don’t have the space for this currently.
My intention is to retire before April of 2025, no pension due to Visteon separation in June 2000.
Our group LL6 is real good, but I will not RTO 5 days per week.
Yes, because all our Sr management knows how to do is bedcheck employees, and generate non value added office politics.
Yes, I have a friend who is an LL4 and he told me that it will start early next year
Yes
