Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

For the love of God can we be adults?

ATT execs want you in the office , so go to the office or get a new job. It’s their company and they don’t need to placate anyone with studies or proof of RTO productivity. Go home if you’re sick. Leave early if you have an appointment.
Outstanding work ethic you’re modeling for your kids with the endless complaining and griping.

"Outstanding work ethic you’re modeling"

If you have to go to a location and be monitored to work then you do not have a work ethic. The better modeling is to teach the kids that you work regardless of where you are located, not because your master is whipping you.

It’s their company

No, it's our company, which would grind to a halt if we all cease working tomorrow.

You clearly don't seem understand that, which is why you regurgitate the same ignorance. Just goes to show why corporate needs to unionize.

Shouldn't we pose the bigger question? "Can we be adults and not get monitored 24/7 to get our work done?" Everyone knows we can get everything done and have a work life balance with remote work. Why waste the time, money, and gas? Not all of us hate our families.

Think you are forgetting pre-COVID management employees were treated like adults. There was no roll-call report that is actually more important than your contributions to the team. Just like if you don’t do those required PLE classes, it’s like you didn’t exist all year.
