Sadly I doubt the DoGE will be allowed to audit the Miltary Criminal Complex. Shame as that would save the US an easy Trillion in money laundering.
The emphasis on government efficiency is an existential threat for all defense primes and the fat suppliers underneath them. A honeywell spin off of aerospace would just be a nod that the defense business is about to be retooled with cheaper solutions.
If you are just talking engines, I worked for HW for many years, GE for a couple, and GE is too knowledgeable of HW to be interested (I love Cincy and N Kentucky weather).
I also worked for RR for a big 4 months before bailing, and I think they are sc--wed up enough to consider it.
Safran/CFM, no idea.
Tax free break up a la GE. But after that, who knows regarding layoffs.
It's going to become two separate companies with no sale. That's what a split involves.
No way Honeywell is not selling Aero it’s a cash cow if any thing they should buy more Aero companies after the spin off ie a bearing company or a casting company. At sky harbor it’s crazy the amount of APU’s waiting parts
No way that Safran buys engines/APU's. They're a cantankerous supplier that hates Honeywell and will do anything to ruin business.

I hope people were on-site and actually working. Last time CEO visited CLW WFH was cancelled and people were fired.
Agree, single sale is quicker/easier.
I think it could happen very fast, and somehow cats out of bag.
CEO visited Clearwater last week, spur of the moment.
I wouldn't rule out GE from the list yet.
Cincinnati is lovely this time of year.... Lol
