Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

RTO Troubleshooter - Located under the Desktop Reporting System

Im looking at the report for a day I know 100% I was in the office for over 8 hours. The times recorded are approx 05:00 and the next is 23:30. Both show external vp.

They are using times outside my working hours and declaring I was not in the office with false data.

WTF is going on in this sh-t hole?!?!?!?

Using bad data to create a false narrative of employees not reporting to the office?

F u!!!!!!!! Scom ba--s!!!!!!

" We are supposed to be able to move around with our computers. If we have one of those collaborative meetings in a conference room then I bring my laptop with me. "

This makes sense I guess. We don't do that as there is literally no one for me to collaborate with. I am on Teams all day. I know that gets stated a lot here, but it's 100% true in my case anyway.

"Why would you do that? Just use the LAN."

We are supposed to be able to move around with our computers. If we have one of those collaborative meetings in a conference room then I bring my laptop with me. There is no LAN to connect to in the conference rooms, unless you are first. So, disconnecting from LAN and going to WiFi is normal.

I take a photo of myself at my drop in a post on Yammer every day and tag my boss. Then I take a screenshot of the post and email to my personal email. I have one for every day this year that I’m in the office. Treat me like a criminal and watch me scheme like a criminal.

“connect the LAN male network cable into the network port on your laptop. leave it connected in the office for at least 9 hours to give birth to a presence record.”

What about data protection? Can I abort the presence record up to 9 hour term? My cable my choice. Isn’t it technically a presence report upon data inception?

don't over think it.

connect the LAN male network cable into the network port on your laptop. leave it connected in the office for at least 9 hours to give birth to a presence record.

Keep it sample, as nature intended.

What about if you are on Attcorp WiFi? I think this might be where the inaccuracies happen. Anyone know about this?

Are you in a hub location or other location? I am not in a hub location and know my time is limited but it shows those of us that work at the office listed in webphone show up as external even though we are in our assigned location.

Thank God I got my severance and a new job. Geezus it is 1930's Germany at AT&T.
BTW, T can terminate your employment without cause and for any reason. Non contractual means at will. You can quit at will also. They don't need bad data, and I'm sure it is bad since AT&T can't process simple orders or install circuits or bill correctly, to terminate you.
Good luck everyone!

“I was in office yesterday and it shows under Network Type as "INTERNAL LAN" and has the office info under the Location column. I think that is what keeps you off the naughty list.”

Open up file explorer and do a search on “INTERNAL LAN”
Double click on the .csv file and add/replace Network Type to “INTERNAL LAN” for all entries. Problem solved. This is your network connection log that gets uploaded from your laptop.

“ Why would you do that? Just use the LAN.”

Not every space has LAN access. We have people at Lenox that sit on those weird high top tables that have to connect to the corporate WiFi.

When we were given then 8 hour directive we were told we had to use the LAN or the corporate WiFi. I’m not surprised the reporting is bad

“ Post the link!“

I could, but think it would be better if everyone asked their direct supervisor for it. They should know that you want to see it if they haven’t already provided it to you.

Why would you do that? Just use the LAN.

Make sure someone remembers seeing you in the office, so make a scene.

"What about if you are on Attcorp WiFi?"

I have been wondering about that as well. I have been spending half of every day for the last several months disconnecting from the LAN and using the WiFi connection. I keep attendance records on my own.

If your manager mentioned this to you, I would open an ethics complaint that you are being falsely accused of not being in compliance. The more complaints they have to investigate, the more they will get the point that they have flaws.

I was in office yesterday and it shows under Network Type as "INTERNAL LAN" and has the office info under the Location column. I think that is what keeps you off the naughty list. If you were def in the office and connected to LAN, and it is still showing external as you say, then yes, you're going to need to figure that out as it is feeding the Prescence Report that info. There is a link in that RTO troubleshooter to send an email to report an issue, I would use it and copy your boss on the email stating--- "hey I was in the office on x date, connected to LAN, all day, and it's showing me as external, WTAF over"? And send that email every time until it's fixed.

To those of you that arereading this and are not knowing what I am talking about, tell your Boss you want the link to: " Desktop Reporting System (DRS)- RTO LAN Troubleshooter Desktop Reporting System (att.com)" --- it is not a "secret", or something you are not supposed to have access to. Your Boss should have provided it to you already. If they haven't, or they refuse, or claim to not know what you're talking about, go to their Boss. You have a right to know if the info that is being reported re: your compliance is accurate.

I got nailed with the bad data as well by my boss. I learned of that report and mine is jacked up. So I’m tracking and documenting everything at this point. Already spoke with an attorney regarding this and I would have a wrongful termination suit should this be the reason for my termination or a write up. You have to be harmed before you can file anything. Document document document.

I’m now making my own records with photo documentation of their BS Application.

I dare them to try using this data against me. I’ll expose the truth to everyone!

Turn off your laptop and put you COU in airplane mode at 5:01 pm. Drive home and enjoy a peaceful night. Go to you designated work location the next day, at 8:00am turn your laptop on and take your phone out of airplane mode. You are not being a rebel doing this, you are only doing what your leaders want of you and that is putting in a non flexible 40 hour work week in the office. You are no longer a flex worker, stop working like one.

I’m an SDE and was warning people about this on this board before. We have incompetent contractors and data engineers implementing all of this and it’s been done poorly.
Even the RTO positive people should be worried.

There’s bad data backing all of this up.
