Now that Amazon is delaying RTO, how long until AT&T follows?

"ATS announcement came this afternoon... "

I loved the part of the announcement that basically said, 'we know there are not enough desks but we hope that some people will be sick or on vacation'.

We aren’t delaying anything. We are supposed to deal with it. Uber to the office and sit on the floor.

When they announced that, I knew it was another way to track employees beyond our laptops & VPN connection. Haven’t used it since it launched. I’d rather pay 7bucks/day to park at one of the lots closer to the office.

Thankfully, I’m starting a new job mid Jan that’s committed to not imposing 5 days a week. It’s still hybrid but my commute is a he-l of a lot closer.

They won't roll it back until they get to the number of employees they want. Five-days a week will likely get people to quit, and T won't have to pay severance for those people.

They will quietly roll it back but there will be no formal announcement of that.

They don’t care. Most of those companies that announced 5 day RTO are already quietly rolling it back. While Harvard has studies citing how bad of a policy it is and how it actually hurts productivity. But you know our leaders are a day late and billions $ short.

Stank won’t delay. He DGAF about the bad press or employees. We’re servants to his madness.

T is getting absolutely lit up across Reddit and LinkedIn after the 5 day news hit today.

Good.

T can’t afford to delay the start. Too many full time part time employees.
