There is no reason to ki-l yourself for this company. Put in your 40 and leave. They are going to lay you off anyway, so why bother.
They want you to come in to "collaborate", foster relationships, whatever... Just smile and nod. Just because they make you come in does not mean you have to work. Play on your phone, walk around, whatever just dont work.

Especially when you can read the tea leaves and between the lines at open mics.. AT&T will continue to lay off and force out 10's of thousands only really hiring offshore. They're trying to match VZ's 1.2m per employee compared to T's 500k per employee. Not good odds for those toughing out RTO.

Thank you for this. I didn’t necessarily see myself as “stupid”. I just always strive to do my best in whatever I do. But, if I’m being honest, I’m not being my best to my family and my self. The long days and working on vacation definitely needs to stop. Time to refocus my efforts by putting my all into what really matters in life.

Was at another company/industry for 10 years but am now with you guys (it was a mistake joining. The negativity in this company is the worst I have ever seen). I designed and ran a bunch of their systems.
Worked very hard for them - nights, weekends, etc... Didnt matter one bit. Laid me off with no warning. They had a ton of explaining to do to the customers but they didnt care not one bit.
The Indian manager told me my job was eliminated and gave my job to another Indian.
I love it here. I don't even count the hours. Love your work and it's no longer a "job".

This entirely. But some folks think things won’t work without them there. Seen a lot of senior employees find themselves let go and shocked after decades of service. Don’t do it. No reason to stick around. You will be forgotten within a year or less. Enjoy your life while you still have some left.
