Merry Xmas or Merry Axe-mas?

Consider yourself lucky
160+ were canned the TaP prior to Christmas last year, so all signs suggest it'll happen again. The only question is how many people. Why would they do it? Maximum torment is more likely to convince more of the survivors to quit, and that's all HY cares about. It's not everything, it's the ONLY thing.
No layoffs.
I had high hopes of receiving a severance/displacement letter in the mail yesterday. The people i work locally will be on PTO next week. I can only hope we'll get a call from HR on Christmas Eve confirming displacement. I think most of us will welcome it. It would make Christmas amazing. Someone said on a previous post that they were laid off last year on the week of Christmas. With that being said, it can realistically happen this week. Please make a business decision to make sure it happens. Then they can start 2025 with the lower headcount they so desire. It's a win/win situation. 🤞🤞
It’s coming
Traditionally the company skips doing layoffs for the 2nd half of December and I think last year they even skipped layoffs in January as well. I think they figure that doing layoffs every two weeks for 10 and a half months is sufficient and avoids the worst of the bad press of doing Christmas Eve layoffs.
