Was told by Business Support 80% of those that enter into a PIP leave Crown
Best bet is to beat them to it and ask for a severance package. They may just do it, it worked for me.
At Crown Castle is is 100% them firing you. My toxic manager put me on one and was gearing up to fire me. I managed to rally my resources and turn the tide on the witch. Business Support was suddenly extremely interested in how she ran her team after that. Multiple teammates and I moved to various other teams. She didn’t last long after that.
PIP is definitely a way for a manager to move you on. Start looking for other work as you try to fight through it.
Your being managed out
Given the context of the company right now, and knowing how open ended my job duties alone have become, I couldn't imagine my manager putting anyone on my team on a PIP.
Regardless of the context of the company right now, my manager has managed to have a fairly decent rapport with our whole team. If you ask me, if manager is putting anyone on a PIP right now then they want you gone.
The PIP is more of a reflection on your manager than on you. The inability to train and effectively manage your team should be all on the manager. Most companies don't see it that way but that is the truth of the matter. I have seen employees with 10 plus years experience be put on a pip and you can't tell me that they don't know their job. If you as a manager continue having issues with your employees and find yourself having to put them on a pip constantly then I'm sorry but the fault is all yours. In my opinion the manager is the one who should be fired not the employee.
I would recommend finding a new role. Your timeline depends on a lot of different things but the reality is, you're on a PIP because your boss wants you gone. Best to make it happen on your terms.
It’s glad to hear you’re aiming high. Let me guess, you’re sad you can’t have more meetings with the CEO lol
You might make it but chances are not that is what the PIP is designed to do. Also you manager doesn’t want you on their team anymore.
What does it take to get a PIP at Crown post multiple layoffs?
No, but make sure you improve or it will be...hence the meaning...
Keep your nose clean for 6 months and it will fade away
Yes and no...I was put on one but nothing we never followed up. I handled business so the sup must have forgotten about it.
