We keep losing people every month, and our team is desperate for more help, but they're leaving just as fast as we can hire them. Since the start of the year, we've brought on six new people (not all at once, of course), but five of them have already left. It's driving me insane because the rest of us are stuck picking up the slack. At this point, I don't know how to deal with it except by quitting myself.

People who can are exiting this company as quickly as they can; new hires are exiting after learning about the toxicity of the environment at ATT. Nobody really wants to work for ATT. It's a factory of sadness.
Stank and the execs are sticking around in fact, they are going to give themselves a raise with the stock buybacks to the tune of 40 billion. You think they care about the working stiffs or company debt?
d-mbed down modern technologies with new d-mbed down employees will only get you so far
I received a survey asking if I would consider returning. I said yes. I would come back for the money and to coast along and work under a lame supervisor that I can run circles around. It’s just a game guys. The sooner you wake up from the matrix the better.
I concur.
I’m on a small team and we have to keep on hiring because people keep leaving.
The problem is, the position requires expert level knowledge and you can’t gain that without a decade of experience.
The pool we pull candidates from is at bare bones levels.
2025 is going to be very ugly which is truly demoralizing considering what we went through in 2024.
Check with your manager to see if overtime is available.
How much of that work really needed done in the first place? This company is bloated. We aren’t a monopoly utility anymore. This is a competitive market. It’s not do more with less. It’s do less with less.
