Like most of my coworkers, I want to be laid off in the new year, grab my vacation weeks and termination package and just move on. Meanwhile, I'll continue putting in the least amount of effort, time and work without getting fired. It's no secret that all of our tasks are being automated and/or off-shored and inevitably we'll all be laid off. Many of us just hope that happens sooner. Merry Christmas to most of you.

“If T brought back the medical supplement I think they’d have enough volunteers quitting in January that by February there would be no reason for us all to have to play the Hunger Games/Thunderdome RTO”
There a line a mile liking already. All they have to do is give them what their own policy states.

The OP and many of her coworkers have told our manager (who wants a severance package) and the next two levels up (who probably also want a severance package as well) that we want to be declared surplus so we can get the termination package (per our contract), however we've been told that decision is made a few levels up. It's funny working in an environment where seemingly everyone wants to leave.

If you really wanted to be laid off, you would have already talked to your manager and made it happen. This is a troll post. You have been doing the bare minimum for a long time.
There are many hoping for the payout. If ATT brings back the medicare bridge I will go sooner.
