Length of commute is prohibitive, and my expenses will considerably go up. Complying in hopes to be laid off soon and get a whole two weeks of severance is not worth it. So I will let them be pleased with themselves and quit. Fortunately, my skillset is such that I will probably not have a hard time finding another job. I assume many are in the same position as I am, which, I suspect, was the real reason behind RTO. I wish us all luck, and it’s probably for the best to leave T in a rearview mirror.

Just commute to the office, bring your personal laptop or tablet and spend the majority of your time applying for new jobs. Quit when you find something better. Good luck, it’s a numbers game right now since a lot of folks are also job searching.
Just look for another job first, get it and go. Don't give 2 weeks notice or any of that nonsense. They wouldn't if they were firing you.
I hope this is a wake up call for all. Start working on your resume and applying. The 6 months pay is not worth the stress. Your wfh at T has come to an end. Good luck to all!

I guess the best strategy is to leave now to beat the rush of all the others that procrastinate.
Quit now to be able to devote all your time to finding a different employer.

Best of luck, a lot of us are right behind you. I’m just waiting on my review to come back to ensure I get my bonus then I’m out also. Already interviewing with other companies. The brain and muscle drain to the company is going to be immense as the top talent will leave quickly.
Use savings collected from over at least 18 months of WFH full time during the pandemic to cover costs of commuting
I too imagine a new place of work where I am no longer compelled to check the layoff dot com multiple times a day.
How did I get here?
A job where I literally have been checking this site for over 10 years now is pure insanity.
