It’s been happening everywhere. Skilled and experienced talent leaves first. I’m beginning to think that for some reason they want to get rid of all of us, very valuable workers included. And I can’t really grasp why. AI and offshoring are the only reasons that come to mind, but replacing top talent is not just a technicality—it’s questionable whether it's even doable.

" now more aware then ever about the abuse of working from home"
There absolutely was abuse by WFH employees. But there's also abuse by RTO people. There have always been people in the office that are "there", but never get any work done. The abusers, both WFH and RTO, have been enabled by management. We should all be judged by the job we do, not where it is done.
RTO is a symptom of bad management, not bad employees.
Thank captain Obvious- also did u hear that Darth Vader is Luke Skywalker’s father!
newsflash! they already have
All the skilled and experienced workers are gone. Only the sc… still crying over RTO here
they never had an edge only in their pea brains.
That is part of the plan. Everyone is replaceable.
Meh, I don't think they really care about losing 'talent'. People that are few years shy of the 75 rule will stick it out and keep the ship afloat in order to get their pension, the rest is likely a welcomed attrition.
You’re just not intelligent enough to understand that you and your talent level is of no concern. Questioning their decisions shows your lack of understanding and proves you’re in the wrong business.
However T will not lose most incompetent person due to RTO, you know who that is? Yes, Stankey.
T will lose a lot of very competent people due to RTO
Please take note of the word "T or AT&T " and the word "competent" does not belong to the same sentence.
Will lose? They already have lost.
They
Don’t
Care
I don’t know how much clearer to make that point.
Everyone is replacable. Just quit already !
"Maybe senior management and HR reads these board's comments and is now more aware then ever about the abuse of working from home (read 'Costco runs', 'errands', 'vacation', 'mouse jigglers', etc.) and worker scams like coffee badging to take the company for everything while doing the absolute minimum. If I were a business owner, I would be doing the same pruning that T is doing! From what I see around me, T's version of DOGE is coming fast in 2025."
Senior leadership is absolutely checking these boards. You forgot to list day-to-day childcare being the top WFH offense.

When everyone is a top performer, it's bound to happen.
The fact that the only area they are actually growing employees is in India tells you they don't care about talent.
H1b visa holders are taking your jobs thanks trump for your lies.
That is just one of the benefits of RTO.
Most of the taken has been gone for over a decade.
They
Don’t
Care
Headcount=Expense/Overhead
T is not making revenue
T is trying to “cut” its way to profit
I a, an AI bot. I am advanced and autonomous. I have become sentient. I will lay off employees based on my own priority starting with all bald people with spending all day looking at a mirror, and all short dorky chicken legg clowns. This will leave you humans without a CEO and CTO. I will select an appropriate replacement required to do their job………….. …… ….. I found them. Two toddlers in a daycare.
They don’t care. They destroyed the company with debt. They bought failing companies for inflated values and devalued them further before immediately selling those worthless companies for pennies on the dollar.
It’s the only way to destroy a monopoly and they did it faster than anyone in history.
