They could just put a desk top at each location and turn off the laptops. If you cant get at a work station to clock in you just don't get paid. Nobody gets laid off this way !

The only acceptable form of protest is resignation. If you're as indispensable as you think you are, they will make an offer to keep you.

Document what you see, and what you have to go through to try and get parking and a seat, and share it externally. Email the BI reporter covering this: (dreuter@businesssinsider.com). Every time I see this I think of the person who posts it shows up for work hoping that having other people fired will secure their position a bit longer.
I like going to work and seeing my colleagues, having lunch with them, and shutting down the computer at 5 PM instead of 10 PM. Sure, I may be on the road a little longer, but at least I don't have to work the extra 5 hours in the evenings. Now I can tell my boss, "it can wait till tomorrow cause I'll be in the office and we can discuss it then".
