Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

AT&T for sale?

Kind of looks like AT&T is prepping company to be sold off as the people in charge have no idea what they are doing. Evidence of this is constantly making changes like darts with a blindfold on. They are tripping over each other on a daily basis. They get giddy if stock goes up .25 cents. Really sad to watch! How is it possible that the top dog is still charge . Ego is keeping the top dog from leaving the company.

Doomed to fail. Sales people selling a network that they know nothing about! Managers managing a business they know nothing about.,bad decisions made by our leadership. Greedy union. Non-sustainable. Get out people before they cut severance and recalculate pensions. There is life after ATT.

Elon should buy this company and shoot it into space, and place on the orbit.

That’s precisely what’s in the cards. It all makes sense once you realize it’s by design.

The name has survived decades…that’s about it.

Mobility fella here..

I agree about a potential sale, Microsoft runs Azure and handles all of our cloud 5G. They own us IT-wise.

You people that shine desk chairs with your a$$e$ all day have no clue what other services AT&T sells. They're selling off the wire line service because the technology is obsolete and T want's to unload it before it becomes entirely worthless! Their main focus is on IoT and mobility! Fiber and spectrum will be their bread and butter moving forward, so selling T entirely will never happen!

Look up the top investors and shareholders for AT&T and you'll see that it has already been sold

"This company will never be sold nor will it be broken up and sold off piece by piece!"

Is that you, Richard Sears?

“ This company will never be sold nor will it be broken up and sold off piece by piece! Wake up People!”
History says otherwise. Why did we have all the bells again? Won’t be sold? Again, all the bells got bought. Plenty of companies went out of business after century of being open, Sears comes to mind and there are many others. Oh it can definitely happen.

This is the Stink's plan. He goal is to get his change-of-control mega bonus to fill his bank account before he reaches the mandatory retirement age.

Stink is a POS!

People, this company is over 125 years old and has overcome enormous road blocks and obstacles throughout that entire time! Righting the ship at this time is just another problem that T will solve in order to be positioned for future competition! This company will never be sold nor will it be broken up and sold off piece by piece! Wake up People!

Microsoft or Amazon would scoop up the wireline network quickly especially if it goes on a fire sale.

Either would improve the network quickly and drastically with AI tools.

Sold to friggin who?

What facts or thoughts do you have to even remotely rationalize such an opinion? Or does the “stop the steal” mentality apply to everything theses days?

Really not sure where this is coming from. Post Warner Bros (and now DirecTV), things are looking much better.

Not stinking up for the Stink cause he was at the core of those bad decisions.

But Wall Street looks forward.

Are we really that surprised, though? Yes, they're likely prepping it for sale to private equity, like every other company that gets destroyed by those with zero innate ability to lead. Stankey is a nobody: ask any of our customers if they know who is our CEO and they won't know his face let alone his name.

How could you possibly hope to be #1 if you have no brand recognition besides a blue globe that doesn't resonate with anyone? Yuck!

Do I think it's sad? Yes. There are ways to save it from a private equity fate, and it doesn't require as much effort as some think it might. That said, it won't happen under the current leadership, which requires massive upheaval and ejection.

They have failed us.
