Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

No place to build the career

Heck, this is no place to work at for longer than 2 to 3 years max. That is, if you even manage to stick around for that long without being laid off, kicked out, outsourced, reorganized, or booted out of your job in some other fashion. Just a short bridge to cross to reach some other, decent workplace. This bank is a sh-tshow.

I used my experience there to get a much better position with a much better salary with a much better culture. So I guess the ole "bofa" on the resume worked nicely but the place is just awful. You can only get promoted if you're friends with your 1 and 2 up, at which point you can be completely incompetent and not have a clue about the job but they'll still that person in that position for a year or so and move them up again.

Agree. Unless you are a favorite a$$ kisser or DEI.
Other than that forget about it. There is no career, it’s a job.
They should spend those “career funds” and training they wasted on taking care of employees that are actually working and know the job. Instead the people that have little to no knowledge get away with a lot, causing a horrible environment.
