The are definite H1B abuses by companies that need to be corrected, there are bipartisan bills that have been in committees to try and address these issues for years. Trump 1.0 tried to get to it but this time 2.0 it should get corrected. It doesn’t need to go away but there needs to be many improvements to stop the abuse and loss of American citizens opportunities. Some corrections would be making the compensation comparable and training availability for technological changes.
