This is the complete opposite to how the US side has been handling lay offs this year. Here there is no notice at all. Everything has to be top secret. With a 90 day notice at least they have time to prepare and possible have a job lined up ready to start when the get let go.

Spoke to several techs/support staff who has been given letters saying that their jobs were "at risk" and 90 day consultation period had begun. 15% was the figure mentioned.
