Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

CATCH-22: We are told to falsify timesheets but are subject to termination because we have knowingly falsified timesheets to avoid reprimands.

If we work more than 40 hours, we are required to falsify our timesheets by entering no more than 40 hours. If we work on any burden projects and work over 40 hours that week, we are required to move any project work to offset as much of the burden work as possible to minimize the burden time charged. If we work on weekends, then we are to falsify our timesheets by moving the weekend time to one of the other five days to eliminate all of the burden time if possible while not entering more than 40 hours. The latest edict forces us to falsify our timesheets by spreading training costs and other previous burden hours across all projects we are assigned to whether that training or other burden hours applies to that project or not. Forcing us to falsify our timesheets to only 40 hours/week has skewed the real effort required to complete a project when most are working 20% to 40% over 40 hours to complete the project. The next time a similar project is proposed, we are expected to complete it in the same time (40 hours/week) which means 20% to 40% overtime again that was not accounted for in the previous project. If you read the COBC carefully, it has been carefully worded to allow dismissing any employee. Not only is the person requiring someone to falsify records subject to termination, anyone who knowingly falsifies records is also subject to termination. This means if HR gets rid of the managers for requiring falsification of timesheets, they can get rid of everyone in every department in Technology because they have knowingly been falsifying timesheets as they have been told. When is this CATCH-22 going to end?

that's funny, Halliburton and the COBC mentioned in the same sentence. That's a contradiction in terms huh? Unless, there is some murky blur of ethics and conduct that can be debated to serve whatever purpose it may need to serve.

I thought we were the only ones requiredto do this. Sounds like all of us are now subject to termination at will.
