The doesn't seem to be much going on here for layoffs. I think most of the shit will hit the fan during spring break up. That shoud be soon since the warm weather we have been having. Who is going to be affected? PP? Wireline? DS? ALS?Bits? Scary times in Alberta with such an oil driven market. Good luck finding a job with thousands out looking for the same work. Correction... Not 25 for each PL. There's one or two that will only see 5-10%. But most are gonna hurt. WL, PP, drilling
25% of each PL. WL being hit the hardest % wise: next PP.

Apparently yesterday HR in Calgary were gathered in a conference room putting together packages. Beginning of March sounds right, if you consider the pay periods.

Acutally "realise" is only used in Great Britain. Realize is the older more proper way to spell the word. Realise is the slang way of spelling it kind of like calling you a "Wanker".
My sources tell me that the layoffs in Canada will start first week of March. Sources say it will be upward of 3000 layoffs Canada wide with most being in Alberta. They did not say what PL, but I am sure it will hit all PLs

Some people want more that just a package. If you don't like your job that much why do you not just quit, that way you may save somebody's job that may really like it.
