Smith USED to be a great company to work for until Schlumberger bought them out and ruined it. There was a night and day difference between old Smith and Schlumberger a.k.a. Smith bits. I was let go 1 week before I made my 20 years, in their all knowing minds they must of thought it was best to kick me to the curb.

Schlumberger is famous on laying off employees before they reach 20 years of seniority because they will save cost by not giving a Rolex watch for 20 years award.
Do you think legacy Slb folks don't care about each other? So many of my friends have lost their Slb careers and after almost 20 years myself, I'm waiting to see what happens. We're in this together
