Thread regarding Baker Hughes Inc. layoffs

An Open Message to all HR

When laying off people, please keep your involvement to the minimum and let the affected employee's manager to handle the situation. You, as a HR personnel, should never break the news to them that they are being let go. Their lives are about to change drastically so that news should come from their managers. After all, you don't know anything about their successes and sacrifices over the years.

You guys cry more than a Walmart employee or a Kmart employee that has to work Thanksgiving day. Except for 1 Big thing. You make or made a hell of a lot of money doing what you do. Hope your skills transfer to something similar or you can apply at the above mentioned big box stores. 😁

W t f are you posting crap like this for? You don't have anything better to do? H R doesn't do the dirty work, they just pick who gets to go. Your manager is who breaks the news to you. That doesn't make it any easier. Enough of this feel good crap, if you don't know anything about a layoff in Houston, I don't need to hear from you. We come here for information on layoffs, not a daily affirmation.
