Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

stick a fork in it

done. there is no way they can climb out of this hole. years of wasted money and innovation ineptitude have left this place gasping for their last breaths. politics and pettiness have destroyed any chance of providing real value to customers. instead the focus has been on providing real value to stockholders including execs, which is expected, but not to the detriment of students and paying customers. those customers are gone. there is no valuable brand here. in the end the execs will win by walking away with their cash payouts. stockholders dumb enough to be holding the bag will lose. students have already lost but anyone dumb enough to waste their time and money here deserve their fate. employees here are schmucks and also deserve their fate. but the raping of the US taxpayer is a shame and the fault of the government. they'll wake up and force these farces of education to shutdown but not after years of stealing from the taxpayers coffers by these excuses for businessmen that run this place. it must be nice not to have a conscience and base your whole existence on a scam. not much different than a bunch of hoodlums.

@83764--you called it. Lots of managers were canned. It's a joyous day when the Phoenix is on fire. What a bunch of losers.

First of all, there are many credible individuals who work at the University of Phoenix. A few bad apples here and there doesn't set the tone for the academic counselors and finance advisors who display the characteristics of men and women who work very hard to help our students succeed. So you may want to calm down with the name calling. Just some food for thought.

The DoED, key banks, and hedge funds will try to keep APOL going as long as possible. It's still "too big to fail." And Billionaire Peter Sperling is too big to jail . Apollo Group didn't buy Jane Oates, a key Democratic operative, for nothing. Someone has already been busy whitewashing University of Phoenix on Wikipedia, removing the 100+ site closings (and other bad news) from the first part of the article.....................http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=University_of_Phoenix&action=history

You are correct. The idiots steering this phony school are to blame for putting profit ahead of progress. The programs are worthless and every employer knows this. I look forward to managers and directors losing their jobs very soon. LOL
