Thread regarding Weatherford International Ltd. layoffs

April layoffs

Many employees have been let go, so next round should be affecting management. There is only so many Indians to cut before cutting the many chiefs. I think the next round will be shocking and maybe gratifying. Just my 2 cents

If layoff continues, With management positions it is this employees recommendation to let ex Didtrict manager reduced to consultant of branch 10538. Ron Biddle has held this branch hostage to take tear apart business if they don't hire his son Back who they have let go recently, RonBiddle has threaten to leave and create problems for Weatherford if they don't hire his son back. Guess what! After letting him go, it is rumor that the son is going to be back, It appears being a thug pays off. Management should be a shamed and as managers higher managers should evaluate lower managements ability to run in company in Weatherfords best interest. Pacific Coast is under the leadership of Tracie Breedlove Gm and VP Eddie Eberhard allowing this to continue just acts like a disease and will only grow more and more thugs maybe this is the way we should all be to keep our jobs threats of law suits and threatening to ruin Weatherford. Business. Allowing this to continue says you have no faith in the employees you have to keep to handle what may come wow thanks for the fait in us...

I wish management would use this time to get rid of the ones that they don't like and the ones nobody likes. We have a few that everyone wants gone but managers think they might spill the beans or try to sue. It's layoffs so no reason needed to cut them off. The good ones are gone while these bad apples still milk the system because management seems to be scared of them. Maybe each facility could do an anonymous vote to pick the ones to let go. At least us peons could feel better about layoffs if we had a say in it

What is considered mid-level management? District managers, area managers, or business unit managers??? Or the shop supervisors and field supervisors??

Should be interesting! I suspect a real awakening come April and alot of mid level managers to be gone thus flattening the layers of management

This company loves Indians not the American kind but the ones from Mumbai who they employ as contractors throughout IT and pay to house them in Houston and $100+ per hour they are definitely save from layoffs.

I agree with 85648. if lowest can do the job thenthey may let more little people go. who knows really. will be interesting none the less to see what happpen on monday or tues of next week. which i am sure will be another day of sad faces.
