Thread regarding Baker Hughes Inc. layoffs

Let us all take a day off next week in protest of the shareholders vote

We have nothing to loose now. They got what they wanted and now the layoffs will speed up. They don't give a damn about the average worker loosing their jobs. So let's slow down and take a vacation or sick next week.

It looks like tomorrow, Tuesday , is the perfect day to take the day off. It is the last day of the quarter. They sure won't like it if you don't show up and make money for them. money is the only thing they care about so hit them where it hurts them

YES! and that my friend, 86068, wait a minute, that makes you a palindrome, just noticed that. Sorry, But anyway, that my friend is one of the many things wrong with business today. Although the high and mighty will defend it by playing the that's capitalism card, the best system on earth. I'm not eschewing capitalism that's not what i'm getting at. The thing is, so often a good thing is abused and those who benefit from it remain blind to the bling. So often we see corporate high level people getting such enormous pay, benefits and payoffs at the end regardless of failure or success, they have no skin in the game. There is no real incentive to win. Their incentive is to bargain for the best payoff they can get regardless of outcome. There is no penalty to fail. It's become an "as long as I get my money", "I'm in it for ME", corporate mentality. That's just the way my stupid little mind has started seeing things. Live long and prosper.

Since when did you think the Shareholders or upper Management cared how you felt? It's only business and besides before you know it, Baker Hughes will only be a memory for those who served it well.

At this stage, if you have nothing to do, take the day off. If you still have work, and you really can't take a day off - YOU ARE OK! - Aberdeen
