After 1-3 rounds of layoffs, then pay cuts and furloughs. The best place to be in the near future would be with a PSL that is spun off to a company that doesn't own that product line. GE, NOV or Superior, please take us!!

Yep, my dad was affected in the 80s. I'm proudly following his footsteps. haha! Good luck to you all that is affected. There are better opportunities for us elsewhere!
To me, the best place to be is to have marketable skills and can market yourself, regardless of what might happen. After the bonus was paid, some (marketable) individuals have found other positions (for better or worse) and quit HAL and BHI.
