Thread regarding Weatherford International Ltd. layoffs

Disapointed In California

Weatherford Pacific Coast. Are you following Equal Opertunity Employment Process, allowing others to see open position to apply for

Or are they for special people only. Say a son of a father who already works for Wetherford, While you continue to let very capable people go.

In a nut shell wft allows you to hire relatives with the condition that he or she is related to a manager. Ed Eberhard VP has his two sons working in California, neither one of them had prior oil field experience and when lay offs began you know they were going to be protected. California lots of nepotism and favoritism, its a crying shame that they lay off honest loyal hard working employees with lots of experience go before the golden children and family members. Goes to show its is who you know and not what you know. But guess what every dogg. Next time you go into the office ask yourself how many family members work for my manager????

Nope, they do not practice equal opportunity law practices. A position becomes available or created and they already have a person in mind for the position. They offer the position to the person they have in mind and then post the position; to appear fair. There is nothing fair about Weatherford.

Can't blame Obama for everything. He has no control over the way Weatherford is handling the layoffs, or the way they treat their employees and most importantly the way they ran this company to the ground. I' m not an Obama fan but with that being said Halliburton and Schlumberger are dealing with the price of oil and they are gonna survive this drop because they have strong leadership bottom line

Its all Obama's fault. He has betrayed Saudi Arabia and Egypt over the Iran Nuke program. The OPEC countries will continue to flood the market with cheap oil.
